I asked the ash tree - Tariverdiev

Anyone who knows me well, realizes I'm obsessed by trees, so--when so many play a role in one song....I cannot resist.

Winter scenes of St. Petersburg, from the film, The Irony of Fate. I cannot verbalize what this song means to me.

But--this is a song held in obsessive affection by more than one generation.

Alexander Rybak wept while performing the song at a memorial concert for Mikhail Tariverdiev in 2011.

Thank you for watching. Somehow--it's too difficult for me to even translate the song.
